These extra sharp needles are used most commonly for pleating and decorative stitches. They are similar to an ordinary sewing needle except they are longer. Experiment with which size works best for you by purchasing the sampler card and then come back to order your favorite size(s). Once you decide, these needles are packaged nestled in wool inside a matchbook.

The mixed package of needles includes one (2) needles each of sizes 8, 9, 10, 11. Each individual size needle pack contains 8 needles. The sampler pack contains one needle of each size.

I like to use the Bohin needle threader, available HERE, and the size 8 straw needle to stitch with the size 16 perle cotton. I use the bigger end of the the threader.
